The story is ok, but the pacing is a bit slow and the attempts at humor are just a bit frustrating. Again, not a bad read and some nice story ideas but just not great.

I have never read a horror book with such a relatable main character. I loved it from beginning to end.

I overall enjoyed it. But the story picks up in the last quarter of the book. The first three quarters are a good preparation for the finale, but they could have been much shorter.

The story starts very slow, and even though it was funny sometimes (the narrator does a great job), I had to fight through. Then the middle brings you some excellent spooky stuff and I thought: HERE WE GOOooO!!!! Only for it to fall completely flat in the ending. What a disappointment!

That was it? It felt like the author got tired midway and just decided to quickly write down something to wrap it up. This could’ve been SO good
