Über diesen Titel
A determined young woman struggles to uncover the secrets of the System itself—before the unthinkable happens—as this LitRPG adventure continues.
Transported from Earth to an entirely new planet, filled with magic and monsters, Alice Verianna has not only had to figure out how to survive but to learn and grow while she's at it. But what's really driven her from the time of her arrival is the desire to investigate—and determine the true nature of—the seemingly omnipotent System that holds sway over all things in the world of Luliv.
Alice takes a major leap forward when she finds a patron researcher who helps her gain admittance to magic school, where she gets to study everything from self-defense to monster biology. But the more she advances both academically and personally, the more she suspects something might be wrong with the System itself...
Adding to the danger and darkness, the enigmatic Society of Starry Eyes has been working in the shadows, conducting experiments with broken mana and human beings—to horrifying results. With the Society growing ever bolder and the land on the precipice of disaster, can Alice discover what's wrong with the System before it's too late?
The second volume of the hit LitRPG adventure series—with almost two million views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

The only Critic i have is that "is that so?" is used way to often. The reader trys to intone it differently but it still hit me several times how often it was saied from different Characters even in the same discussion.
Is that so?

that is how a lit rpg should be

She is not combat oriented and yet she can beat anybody who tries fighting her. It's almost as if she isn't allowed to lose. Body parts fly left and right, but the protagonist never even gets a single wound bigger than a bruise.
Nobody does anything that isn’t at least tangentially related to the protagonist. No one besides the protagonist has a hobby, a secret dream they work on, a bad habit that makes them stumble. The world feels as if it stands still until the protagonist needs a new problem to solve.
Everybody asks the protagonist for her opinion before making a decision.
The magic system is way too flat. On the surface, everyone fights the same. There is little to no variation. Under the surface, the system has many small contradictions, like the math not making any sense. For example, the protagonist's leveling speed is about 4 times improved, but she gains more levels in a year than the average person does in 10 years.
One comment made me scratch my head. “When a secret society becomes not a secret anymore, their only option is to become a country?” So, criminal organisations that act in the open are countries now? Cartels or mafias don't exist anymore? And corruption is apparently not a thing in this world. That's just nonsense.
The reader is way too slow. I had to listen at 1.2 times speed and even that was still borderline sometimes. And she could put more emotion into her voice. Every scene is very monotone. Her different voices for different characters is nice though. Never got confused who was speaking.
She is always right
