Trapped in a world of monsters and magic, survival is just the beginning.

When Evelyn moves to Monterey Bay for college, she expects her biggest challenges to be making new friends and surviving freshman year. But her life takes a dark and unexpected turn when she's abducted and thrust into a terrifying world of monsters, magic, and ancient secrets.

After awakening in an unfamiliar body and with a collar around her neck, Evelyn must use her wits, a positive attitude, and a spark of newfound magic to escape cultists, dodge undead horrors, and—with a bit of luck, find a way back to civilization. Unsure of who to trust and clinging to the hope of returning home, she must navigate a landscape where danger both physical and political lurks around every corner. What begins as a quest to survive becomes a journey of self-discovery, revealing a resilience she never knew she had.

It's mostly weeb bait.
The poor fox spirit girl says so herself xD.

Outside of some cute interactions and short op battles. There's not much to have. The world building is very generic.
Everything just falls into their hands and it somehow works out.

"I should hide my hero status!" < 5 seconds later loudly talks about it and 50 seconds later fights a horde of enemys ...
"OH THE INHUMANITY! I KILLED PEOPLE!!" < Poor fox girl kills some vampire thralls that are uncureable. Crys and mopes around. Then a bit later. Just evaporates zombies, vampire and bandits without a shrug of the shoulder. Hypocrite power unlocked! Level15!

xD

You get the drift. Her stats/ class influences her probably cause the author hints at that. But the whole "Oh i should or shouldn't do that" then do the wrong thing ... is getting old and is just gaslighting / cringey plot devices.

The VA carrys this hard. I will listen to the other half of it, but i wont get the next one.
Should stop takeing reccomendations from weeb friends xD...
or just not buy anything with cute female casts on the cover. Those most/ often times aren't too great Storywise.

Good to listen too, but cringey at times.
