Rowling ist eine phantastische Erzählerin, ich sehe die Szenen richtig vor meinem geistigen Auge. Der englische Sprecher hat eine sexy Stimme, vor allem als Cormoran und wird auch allen anderen Rollen gerecht. Was mir jedoch mächtig auf die Nerven geht, ist die Selbstquälerei von Robin und Cormoran, vor allem Robins Schuldgefühle ihren ungeliebten Männern gegenüber. Ich liebe lange Hörbücher, aber das Strecken der Geschichte durch das masochistische Beziehungschaos ist überflüssig.
Es muss da einfach ein Happy End geben und nicht erst im letzten Roman.

Für mich eins der besten Bücher der Cormoran Strike Serie. Schöne Mischung aus Ermittlungs- und Love-Story. Geniale Sprecher!

I do love the Strike series. JK Rowling is a truly fabulous plotter, so twisted and well thought out. Great story. Robert Glenister did, once again, a fantastic job narrating, bringing Strike and Robin and all the side characters to life. Thank you for that, Sir!
I would have liked more Shanker and Barkley woven into the mix. Certainly could've done without Kim and the entire Charlotte cast, memories and entanglements clinging to the story. Perhaps in the next book we'll be finally free of her and her family's claws digging into Strike's flesh.
Hopefully the next book will be here soon.

great Strike story, fantastic narration

The books are always well researched and interesting. I love the story around the main protagonists relationship and the well woven intricacies of the story. I also love the narrator and am amazed at his voice range and versatility, Having said that I realize how difficult it must be to „speak“ a foreign language but I would have preferred a different speaker for the German dialogue only. Summarizing I found the book well put together and extremely entertaining, as always.

Wie immer liest Robert Glenister großartig. Gespannt warte ich auf den 9ten Band der Serie. Ein Wiederhören mit alten Bekannten. Einziger Wermutstropfen sind die meines Erachtens überflüssigen Poems zu Beginn jedes Kapitels.

Es bleibt spannend hinsichtlich Robin und Cormoran.
