Touching story incredibly performed

I am well older than the YA demographic but thoroughly enjoyed this touching story. I especially liked the incredibly good narrator with his kind and soft voice. I will definitely relisten to this audiobook just for clues on how to become a better storyteller and reader for my own children. The rest of the cast is great as well. Where ever you listen to this recording it will put you right in the midst of the story.

Schönes Hörspiel

Ich habe das Hörbuch gerne neben der Hausarbeit und beim Sport gehört und fand die Geschichte des jungen Bod sehr schön. Vor allem auch die vielen verschiedenen Sprecher.

fantastic version

surely one of the best books about childhood, adventures, mystics and death.
The full cast production gives it a new quality beside the already existing version read by Neil Gaiman himself.

Schöne (Märchen) Geschichte

Gefällt mir sehr gut, ein bisschen skurrill, ein bisschen kurios, ein bisschen sentimental, es gibt Geister, Überlegungen über diese und deren Dasein sowie das eigene Dasein.

Well, not MY favorite, but...

Well "The Graveyard Book" is actually quite a good story about a boy growing up on a graveyard, surrounded by the ghosts of the dead. I actually found it while searching for all the books by Neil Gaiman and while doing so, something occured to me: Neil Gaimans books can be split in two categories: books for children/teenagers and books for adults. As you might imagine now, this story falls in the latter category of being quite the extraordinary tale for a child or teen, but not so much for the older audience such as me. I am sure that the right kind of adult, those of us that rather pleasantly remember the stories of our childhood, can have a really good time reading this (and most of the reviews seem to agree), but as seen in the score given, I am not to found of the style, so that explains the mediocre score of 3/5 for the story. The presentation on the other hand is marvellous. The cast is a group of very talented voice actors, the cut and quality is top notch and the over all performance is one to be admired.
