A scenario Arthur C. Clarke staged 1968 in "2001: A Space Odyssey" with his HAL 9000 - now adapted for a hedge fund's supercomputer VIXAL-4. Leaving just the automated delta hedgings the cunning AI is implementing Darwin's theories and gets rid of his master ... A terrific page-turner, entertaining and enlightening! Don't let computers act too independently. A good fit to another book i'm currently reading: Scott Patterson (2010): "The Quants - How a New Breed of Math Whizzes Conquered Wall Street and Nearly Destroyed It" - for those who want to know more about Hedge Funds and the search for "The Truth" in Financial Markets or those who find some descriptions about the Quants too exaggerated - they certainly are not!

And a delightful audiobook. Best one I heard in quite a while!

loved every minute of this well conceived and planned thriller. I want to see this made into a film. Loved the charachter and the narratort was excellent, even the british accent :)
