For a very long time I'm enjoying Brandon Sanderson's works, dialogues, the mechanics of the cosmere and his musings on art. This shorter title is a wonderfully refreshing piece of his bibliography that I heartily recommend any Sanderson-fan.

around describing it a minimalist but neither less catching and brilliant story is woven.
the ending was for me a bit lacking because it was "just" wrapping up.

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook very much. I’ve been meaning to get into the works of Brandon Sanderson for a while, since I really enjoy reading about different magic systems, and boy did this deliver. I’ve never seen a magic so unique like the forgery displayed in this novella.

I especially liked Shai’s interactions with Gaotona about the meaning of art. Where does forgery end and where does art begin?

This adaption is very well produced. This is my first audiobook in dramatised form and I have to say, I find it much nicer to listen to than having a single narrator. This especially helps because you don’t have to remember names.

This has been my start into the works of Brandon Sanderson. It won’t be the last.

As expected of Sanderson. Wonderful world building. The dramatization was okay, usually Michael Kramer and Kate Redding do a good enough job.

There is a 90% build up of the story till the escape happens, this part felt liniar, slow paced and exempted of special moments. But the rest of 10%, the escape, is packed with a lot of energy. I really enjoyed this last part and I feel like this energy should have been there from the beginning (at least a few times). Nevertheless this is a great 4 ⭐ story with great voice acting. 👍
