The main reason for me for listening to this audio book was the narrator, Richard Armitage. His voice is just perfect. The way he reads the different persons is really compelling but what gets me the most is his version of the heartbroken father. He puts so much compassion and love for his son into his reading that I was close to tears more than once.
The story about a group of teenagers is very up-to-date, including spiked drinks, online-bullying and all the ramifications of social media. Besides that, it's the age-old story about love, jealousy and rejected feelings. It's packed with twists and turns and I was more than once surprised and I could never have guessed the ending. Highly recommended!

Ich finde die Geschichte so spannend und gut erzählt, dass ich mich fast zwingen musste, meinen Ohren mal eine Pause zu gönnen. Und RA hat so phantastisch erzählt - man konnte die Spannung des Vaters förmlich hören. Ich bin total begeistert!!! Ein absolutes Hörvergnugen!!!

Richard Armitage valiantly struggles to infuse the clichéd writing with something real but has little chance against a plot that only works because nobody does the obvious. And it's "gives him and ME" not "him and I"!!

Well read but not well written

Logan at its best. great tension building with unexpected twists and turns. You know the obvious is not true but not before the final revelation you know the entire background. R. Armitage understands underlines the building of tension with his voice - as always- one of my favorite. Highly recommended especially for parents who are familiar with bonds to kids.
