The main reason for me for listening to this audio book was the narrator, Richard Armitage. His voice is just perfect. The way he reads the different persons is really compelling but what gets me the most is his version of the heartbroken father. He puts so much compassion and love for his son into his reading that I was close to tears more than once.
The story about a group of teenagers is very up-to-date, including spiked drinks, online-bullying and all the ramifications of social media. Besides that, it's the age-old story about love, jealousy and rejected feelings. It's packed with twists and turns and I was more than once surprised and I could never have guessed the ending. Highly recommended!

Eine sehr, sehr spannende Geschichte, gegen Ende kann man das Buch nicht mehr weglegen. T. M Logan hat ein großes Geschick, die Spannung immer mehr zu steigern. Seine Hauptpersonen sind oft ambivalent, sehr interessant und gut gezeichnet. Dass die kleine autistische Schwester von Connor, Harriet, zur Auflösung beiträgt, ist überraschend. Richard Armitage liest, zur Spannung passend, den Krimi sehr schnell, oft dunkel und kann sich sehr überzeugend durch ein ganzes Kapitel weinen. Very well done!

Really good story which at times is painful to listen to as it seems so very unfair what happens to Connor. Great twists and turns and lots of tension, all in all I enjoyed the book. But it is far too long and this is actually a weakness because I became frustrated at times by the lack of progress and the endless descriptions of Andy’s mental status. But still it is worthwhile holding on to it. Richard Armitage is, needless to say, a star as always.

Ich finde die Geschichte so spannend und gut erzählt, dass ich mich fast zwingen musste, meinen Ohren mal eine Pause zu gönnen. Und RA hat so phantastisch erzählt - man konnte die Spannung des Vaters förmlich hören. Ich bin total begeistert!!! Ein absolutes Hörvergnugen!!!
