a new world in space with an alien race with 5 genders. this was difficult to understand at the beginning for a not native speaker, mainly because of the names and the complicated functions of the different genders. But this changed during the book and in the end it was good. I loved the story even so I guessed the ending. tris was described very thoroughly and I found tray lacking a bit at this. I would have liked to read more of his charakter, but I understand, that the main focus had to be on the lavender alien. I highly recommend this audiobook, which is absolutely fantastic narrated to readers who are open minded and adventurous.

This story is the cutest thing ever. I like how the two main characters are similar in ideas and so so so different in culture. I really enjoyed how the galoi worked, just close enough to human to be confusing for them.
There was some sex, which was nice, and some conversation, which was even better. The gender thing was nice, if not the main focus.
I also like how the investigation was done.

The narrator did an awesome job!

All in all I got exactly what I came for when I saw it was from Gail Carriger. Loved the story to bits!

Miss Carriger brings you to a space station filled with interesting characters a plausible world a good criminal case, diplomatic differencies and a very good love story including hot but sensitive gay sex.

Mr. Lesley makes really exellent work with his voice and helps to lure you into this story.

This book is one of my favourite books by Gail Carriger and Michael Lesley did such an amazing narration! Absolutely love it!

Sorry, this is DNF and was a waste of money for me! The narrator is horrible, exaggerating what should be pure narration and merely narrating what should be excited dialogues. If I had not read the book (thrice!) I would not even have known where dialogues or narrations started or ended - it was all messed up. Besides, I did not like his voice at all and it did not fit the characters. The actual story is sweet, steamy, and heartwrenching at the same time, but it all got lost in this awful version. I'll stick to the book ...

That Book itself is ok but the character's are just fucking all the time and It didnt have climactic scene. So ot went on and on and nothing special happened. I also didnt like the voice of the narrarator, it was hard to differentiate when it was a dialog.
