This is the true grumpy x sunshine trope, but the sunshine is a fucking kid. Cathy is the cutest ever!
I love how a man who went through so much still has such a beautiful heart even if it's usually reserved for animals. He can't keep it safe from Aspen.
The trope was way too relatable by the way. Humans really are shitty. Aspen is managing her life like a pro. She keeps seeing the good in people which is impressive in its own, but also exactly what Roan needs!
