I loved the friendship that sparked between those so different women most! It was quite obvious who Annabelle would be marrying in the end and at some point I was a bit confused when they had finally admitted to their mutual desire of each other and there were still two hours left. But that was quickly explained and I must admit much needed especially for the continuation of the series.

Annabelle wants to marry a peer, a lord with a titel and money. She herself has no dowry, so she is on her 4th season in London. Her luck changes as she befriends the other „WALLFLOWERS“ (sisers Lillian and Daisy, and Evie) and gets invited after the season to the country house of Lord Westcliff. Another guest there is Simon Hunt, who is far from an ideal suitor for Annabelle, as he is neither a peer with title, nor a gentleman. But sparks simply fly between those two.

I also liked the introduction of the Wallflowers. This is a perfekt start to a new series.

Good grief! This means that the book has been transformed into the equivalent of PG13 compared to the original published version. The result: plot holes and continuity issues. By removing the Prologue the rest of the book isn't very logical, especially the first chapter in which the main characters Annabelle and Simon are introduced. Her reaction to him makes little sense.
