Good story shame about the reader.
Enjoying the story, but if they wanted it in SRP, then they should have chosen a British English speaker. Paul Boehmer is not the best reader by far.

Slow story development and a weird reader
The plot and the world are nice overall, but it took two long books (around 50 hours) for the story to reach the culmination, and not everybody might have patience for that. The reader is not bad, but he makes pauses and stresses in unexpected places, and that affects how engaging the audiobook is.

Good worldbuilding and general storytelling, but...
... I am not a fan of every single good character behaving stupidly all the time so that the story can happen. Otherwise the book is very well written imo... but I won't listen to the next book in the series because of this issue.

Overrated, waste of time
You wanna listen to the 40h+ story of an assassin who still won't kill the very same villain from the first book?
There are no new major characters and there is very limited character progression of the existing cast. The MC just sits around and waits for the most part while nothing of consequence is happening to them as well. No plotlines started in the first book of the series are actually developed outside of two very poorly written romances, and the only new one we get happens off-screen.
