The skeleton detective is coming back to life… again! It’s the tenth, triumphant novel in the Skulduggery Pleasant series, and it will rearrange your world.

Skulduggery and Valkyrie are back in the tenth instalment in the bestselling Skulduggery Pleasant series – an incredible and unexpected treat for the legions of fans around the world.

We can’t say much but we can say this: Skulduggery and Valkyrie are going to team up with beloved characters from the first 9 books as well as an all-new cast, including new teen co-star Omen Darkly, for an adventure that takes the story to truly global proportions… while answering questions that go right back to the beginning.

And Derek says this: “I was halfway through Last Stand of Dead Men, I think, when I realised that I had more stories to tell. I told myself that if Skulduggery and Valkyrie survived the series, I would leave the option open of returning to their world. There were still secrets I need to reveal, after all, and there were still horrors they had to face. They survived the first series. But they’re really going to wish they hadn’t.”

Kritikerstimmen

“From the start, Landy is back to his wise-cracking best and this book sizzles with whip-smart dialogue and dark humour galore. Highly recommended.” Sarah Webb, Independent IE

“The witty and edgy Skulduggery Pleasant series will enthral kids for the age of ten, and adults too” Christina Hardyment, The Times

now if only Skulduggery could get his _deep, velvety voice_ back and stop declaiming, I'd be a happy mortal indeed

much better narration

Resurrection was over far too soon and I loved the new characters and Valkyrie and Skulduggery being back to fighting crime together like they should be :'D midnight can't be here soon enough!

This Book shows the Range of what Derek Landy can write, but also the tendency for Horror. It's emotionaly hard to listen to because we know these charakters since years and their hard time is our hard time. I love it!

Can't give Derek Landy enought praise

The books before never were very consistent but at least a bit. You listend to them for the humor. Past books were read like that, with some mistakes but keeping the humor in mind. this book now... i barely laughed at all or even smiled about it. the jokes got mediocre and the reader makes it even worse. never seen someone F up so many pointes in a row. skulduggery seems to be constanly declaiming, the voice doesnt fit at all , high and raspy. also the book introduces characters that are extremely annoying Omen: boring, Never: arrogant and annoying, Lethe and Other "bad guys" : childish. oh and on top : there is this character that lived at the time of mevolent that was actually waaaay worse then mevolent and his generals but somehow we never heard of that character before. + Love is the solution to all problems. really really disappointed. made me not get the next book.

Massive downgrade in comparison to the books before.
