It's a real pity that the female main character is so completely at the mercy of her male peers and father figure. All female characters seem to be trapped in the very rigid role of being not able to do anything by themselves. pretty much a story not at all going with the times, which is just sad as the story seems to be for teenagers and I don't want ANY young girl to be too much identifying with this passive character like this. A chance missed to stop picturing female characters in a different light than the usual.

Die Sprecherin ist sehr angenehm. Doch lässt die Geschichte stark zu wünschen übrig. Die Hauptperson ist nicht sehr tiefgründig und eher nervig.

I have to agree with another review here. the girl is so at the mercy of the male protagonists and simply has no backbone! I couldn't finish the book because it was so bad. the only thing I liked about it was the voice of the speaker, it was very easy for me to listen to her and to understand her since english is not my mother tongue.
I also understand that this is a book for young people, but portraying a young girl who doesn't know how to say "no" if she is so uncomfortable or doesn't even ask questions and is naive as hell, simply because the boy is so attractive? I hope I don't run into more books like this in the future.
