I have heard some other books from this author that were free on Audible and could tell this author had potential. I was honestly surprised by how much I loved this book. Very entertaining beginning to end, the characters are very well developed, you can see Eve change and mature as the book progresses. Discussions between love interests are honest and mature, no good vs bad, which I really enjoyed. Everything seems genuine. Fell in love with all the characters and how they interact with each other. The romantic bits are very sweet. Thank you ❤️

I really liked the Story. I found the speaker a Little over the top. But I don‘t know if maybe my speedsettings to 1.2 had anything to do with that. I can really recommend the book!

i am so sick with how much i am loving this. there truly is not one single nonchalant bone in my entire body, i could throw up with how much i care about this entire book & these characters. this was SO phenomenal it makes me want to SCREAM!!! this was absolutely EVERYTHING!!!!

i'm not usually one to pick up a book centering around the pregnancy trope, but this? yeah, THIS is how you do it folks!!! consider me a changed woman!! i can't believe it's taken me THIS long to pick this up, but i firmly believe that this had to stay on my shelf until the time was juuuuust right. because this? THIS took me out. like utterly and completely.

cara bastone is currently on the way to become one of my favorite authors, like, ever. the way she writes her romance novels is nothing like i've ever experienced. her writing style is unmatched and her novels are SO full of heart, love, hurting, yearning, aching, healing, breaking. they're REAL, i don't know how else to explain it. it's like you're soul is being split open in the best way possible. the characters are so different and diverse and multi-layered, dimensional; there's no black or white, there's shades of grey and off-white and every single tone in between. this was exceptional, an absolute masterpiece and i am YEARNING to read this again for the first time. one of my favorite romance books ever, if i do say so. 💌

the audiobook was absolutely perfect as well. the narrator did such an amazing job bringing these characters and their feelings and stories to life that i did not want to turn it off. i full-on listened to it while showering, using the bathroom, driving to work, before sleep. i did NOT want it to end, that's how good of a job she has done. i loved this wholeheartedly. down to the very marrow of my bones.

i truly cannot recommend this enough and you will be so sick of me because i will be talking about them for the foreseeable future!!! eve & shep have my entire heart forever!! i love them your honor!

here's to platonic love that is just as important as romantic love and cheers to the people who show up for you, no matter what.
