The tension and trope was amazing. The plot was compared to that sadly weak and especially the end. Regardless, I can’t wait for the sequel and continue listening right away. Over all I had more hopes for the story itself. The tension between the two main characters is still worth it tho.

This is a cute story for in-between.
I have to admit, I dnf at 1h30min left.
the story isn't bad, it's just slow. I enjoyed it, but I'm not captivated. that's why I'm not finishing the book.
spoilers ahead ....
the trails are 1 week in the wild and climbing a mountain in 12 hours. I was hoping for more.
there is a wired love triangle between the fmc and the princes. but nothing really happens till the point where I stopped listening.
I'm 25 years old, maybe that's the problem. the main characters are between 19 and 21 years old, in I think it shows.
it's not a bad book, it's just not for me.

The story is well written (qua style) and though slow at the start, the pacing gets better in the second half.
The plot is not exactly original, though. Hunger Games vibes with way more romance and some fantasy-ish parts.
I found it entertaining nevertheless, weirdly enjoying how my predictions of what was going to happen next were always on point.
Not the deepest literature, but a fun listen/read.

I just loved everything about the book. It is rare that you just love the main characters throughout the whole book and believing every move they make and sentence they say. The way they tell their story, you feel not only like being in the middle of it all, you become them. Their feelings are described in such a manner, that the elecrticity between them is almost tangible. The speakers are incredible, Kai's rough voice, so sexy it makes you shiver. Paedyn with her wit and cleverness is making you lough and love her even more. She is definitely one of the strongest female characters I have come across lately.

Ich fand es sehr langatmig- und dann immer mit Extremen gespielt …..das hätte man auch schöner erzählen können.

It was exactly what I wanted. I was looking for something lighthearted and romantic yet catchy, and this book delivered. I wanted to keep listening, and it kept me hooked. I’m especially impressed with the voice actors—they were the perfect choice for this book and its characters.

I gave the story 3/5 because, in the end, it’s a classic plot with smooth writing but nothing groundbreaking. I also felt the trials weren’t very detailed and left several plot holes. However, I expected a lighthearted story, and it hit the mark perfectly, so I’m very happy with it. There were moments when I laughed out loud, and I enjoyed it immensely. I strongly recommend this book.
