I have been utterly misled by this book's description. I find it boring and irrelevant beyond description. I can’t bear to read on, waiting for it to unfold its charm, it is too dull, like its characters‘ lives. Maybe it reminds me too much of my own university days and the tedious and unconnected work I had to do for my own thesis. Other people might appreciate this book though, it is well written, I can’t deny that, and the narrator does a very good job, trying to bring it to life, but it is not for me. Therefore I will most probably return it.
