A wonderful story as a stand-alone, but so good I warmly recommend the entire series. Each book explores the ways people can find their way back to a happy life after the ghastly experiences of war, but the focus is on the recovery and finding love and happiness. Depressing details are in the past. Read this book or read them all, the order doesn’t matter too much!

Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten. Bitte versuche es in ein paar Minuten noch einmal.
und der nächste Survivor ist dran. Ein Bub, der 6 Jahre um seine im Krieg gefallenen Freunde trauert, und dann die reife Jungfer trifft. Die Konstruktion der Story ist im Grunde nichts Neues, wie die Folgen zuvor. Wie finden sich die Eheleute, die sich kaum kennen und jeder für sich ein Päckchen zu tragen hat, das in der Ehe für Hoch und Tief sorgt.
Die Figuren sind nicht ganz so gut gezeichnet, glaube ich. Auch die Psychologie ist mittlerweile vielleicht nicht mehr so neu nach den Vorgänger-Stories. Trotzdem hörenswert, schon allein weil Rosalyn Landor in bewährter Art das Flair der Ereignisse hervorbringt.
Kostenlos im Abo schöne Unterhaltung, gekauft hätte das Hörbuch nicht.
