Die Geschichte ist spannend aufgebaut, die Charaktere entwickeln sich im Laufe der sechs Bücher glaubwürdig und liebenswert. Es werden die Lebensweisen Anfang 19. Jahrhundert in Grossbritannien gut geschildert. Schöne Liebesgeschichten, beste Unterhaltung..

Ein wirklich schöner Roman über zwei sehr gegensätzliche Menschen, die das Schicksal zusammengewürfelt hat. Teilweise zum weinen schön. Schreibstil wie auch Sprechstimme sind sehr angenehm.

out of all romance novels in this genre this contains by far the most off-putting descriptions of intimacy I've ever come across - I'd have preferred none or simple hints to '.. and released his seed into her' and the likes ugh
story wasn't bad but went on and on in repetitive circles as if to stretch it out.

great narrator but tedious story

I love Mary Balogh but you cannot like every series I guess. This series is full of foolish women.


Book 1: fmc is being presented as warm hearted and kind and through the entire book she is icy and nearly cruel to him.

Book 2: her lies are annoying and childish… and she is impulsive without logic.

Book3: I loved it ! :)

Book 4: I am severely disappointed. Morgan just acts like she thinks an adult should act but in truth she is a child…. she has no sense and refuses to see it. I wish she would have grown up after the supposed death of his brother. She is only silly.
Book 5: the book started really good and I thought I could enjoy the scheme of the couple but Rachel folded immediately under the smallest pressure and then sees only the fault with other ppl and never with herself. She is quite self righteous.
