This isn't normally the genre I prefer to read, but despite that, I really enjoyed the book. Dealing with mental health issues and addiction for those affected and their families was well-dealt with, and I felt genuine empathy. As someone who has experienced something similar myself, I could really relate to a lot of things in this book. To some, it might seem like the story goes in circles sometimes, but that's just how it is with People who struggle with something like that. It's a rollercoaster ride. Piper is a great and strong character who also has her flaws. Her love is truly impressive. And Blue/Evan is a complex character and truly heartbreaking. I laughed and cried a lot during this book. And I also liked the narrators' voices. I don't usually like it when POVs are switched, which only happened very rarely here. But I have to say, this is the first book where it was really well implemented and didn't bother me at all—quite the opposite.
The only thing that bothered me was the time jumps. As it was really confusing sometimes. Maybe it's more clear and easier to follow in the actual book. But it wasn't always in the audio book.

I'm tired of toxic relationships being romanticized. I think it's great that you go through thick and thin in a relationship and are there for each other even when one person is feeling bad. But I think it's terrible that the other person goes along with everything and allows themselves to be treated badly. Love doesn't cure everything, especially if one person doesn't really want to work on themselves.

I personally loved it. I read the reviews and heard it anyway and I am glad I did. The Story is about love that goes beyond the dificulties of a Partner suffering of a mental illnes. In These case Evan was saved bei Pipers‘ love -I get it, in real life it sounds insane- but some times you just want to read a book that makes you feel good and believe in the good in people. Blue was not a bad guy, he was just real metal distressed =$
I hat to Drive 8 hours with 2 teenis in the back seat and it just saved me!! ;o))

not only the story but also the narrator is going far too slow. like the sexy parts but 15 years of story line just drags on.

die geschichte ist zuerst interessant dann rührselig, auch sexy, nimmt aber gefühlt kein ende und dreht sich im kreis.

The story starts really great. Girl next door falls for damaged musician type. with ALL the consequences.
And great sex scenes.
but then.... in the end (when there are still 7 hours to go) you just want to yell at the female character: just grow up already and get over him. You need to think of yourself and you should have other priorities by now.
