A story full of action, suspense, sex and... humor. What makes the story special? The typical hero refuses to go the way of the usual heroes. With a lot of intelligence, irreverence and self-irony he blazes his own trail. His partners (naturally a harem of beautiful women) doesn't follow him blindly but reins him in when he goes too far. The two speakers bring this entertaining story wonderfully to life. Jessica Threet and Chris Boucher are in top form. I have absolutely enjoyed every part of the story so far and am eagerly awaiting the sequel. Please, please keep it up.

Really fun story! Took me a few chapters to get into but I binged the book in 2 days!
The amount of banter and snark between the main party is so fun!
I feel like this book barely counts as haremlit nor does it have a lot of smut.
It’s just a great fantasy story with lovable characters, bears and pitchers :)

the main character feels like a middle aged austin powers villain insteadt of a young man man from a poor/humble upbringing, that ruins the entire story and it gets worse in the other books
