This is very good learning source which I can listen also without text. I can recommend this audiobook, but I cannot recommend similarly named 1001 and 2001 those I found generally useless.

great for learning

This is just a string of random vocab, with no context. They build up really slowly, but there is no context and no explanations. So a beginner would not understand the following example buildup from the audiobook: your = ton. Your name = votre nom. What is your name = quel est votre nom?
Let’s not dwell on the fact that native speakers would very rarely say that anyway :-).
There are also examples of switching between son and sa. And then, suddenly, they start throwing complex subjunctives in there within the first 15 minutes of this beginner lesson!
My guess is that someone in the USA thought of a list of English everyday phrases, threw them into an AI voice translator (without any regard for how complex they would be in the target language) and this is the result. That would explain why there are so many similar audiobooks for different languages. Steer well clear of this!
