This title is overall a real delight within the realms of young adult literature. Stephen Lee understands the nuances of the world of kpop, how it's intertwined with the modern Korean culture as a whole and how it's impacting the youth of this century in sometimes unexpected ways. The characters that bring this novel to life are authentically flawed like proper human beings, but never unlikable in their struggles. The storytelling is fast paced and lighthearted, but also manages to implement some really meaningful deep tilts, that catch you off guard and make you think. Only downside for me is the voice actor, especially the horrible attempts on singing she makes. These honestly bordered on physical harm for my ears and made me skip several sections in a horrified rush. Dunno how anyone could be comfortable with releasing this atrocities to the public. But apart from that, it's a fun ride I'd recommend!
