Nachdem ich schon alle Bücher von Sarah Lark in einem Stück verschlungen habe bin ich froh endlich auf die ungekürzte Hörbuchfassung von ihrem Buch gestoßen zu sein. Die Charaktere entwickeln sich im laufe der Geschichte erst zu Bekannten dann zu Freunden mit denen man zusammen leiden und sich freuen kann. Hoffentlich kommen bald die Folgebücher!
Die Sprecherin habe ich schon bei anderen Hörbüchern kennen gelernt und finde sie auch hier belebend, überzeugend und ansprechend.

I love all the books of Sarah Lark that take place in New Zealand in German as well as in English; and I have read and listened to them many times already (probably will do so in the future).

After first having read the stories many years ago I happened to visit New Zealand. Surprised I realized that I already knew quite a lot of the country and it's history just based on the stories of Sarah Lark.

Contrary to others, personally I think the sound of the readers voice does not suit the books very well. She is doing a very good job, giving each person his or her own voice! But it often happens that I feel as if I'm listening to a fairy tale read to children.

Eine wunderbar "altmodische" Familiensaga, wobei ich "altmodisch" hier durchaus positiv finde. Ältere Bücher aus diesem Genre, z. B. aus den 80ern, hatten oft noch mehr Schmackes, als die aktuelleren Lektüren.

Das Buch hat alles, was das Herz begehrt: verbotene Liebe, Abenteuer, Intrigen, Schicksalsschläge, Tragödien, humorvolle Momente.

Der Schreibstil ist traditionell aus der dritten Person in der Vergangenheitsform gehalten, was mir am liebsten ist.

Und trotz der Länge ist das Hörbuch alles andere als langweilig. Von Anne Flosnik als Sprecherin auch sehr ansprechend vorgetragen.

Wer das Genre Familiensaga mag, wird sicher seine Freude an diesem Hörbuch haben. Und wem dieses Hörbuch tatsächlich gefallen hat, der kann gleich mit dem 2. Teil "Song of the Spirit" weitermachen. Der ist genauso gut.

gut geschrieben, mir war es aber etwas zu viel Handlung. Am Ende waren schon die Enkel da. wäre schöner gewesen mehr zu erfahren, was zwischendrin passiert und nicht andauernd einen Wechsel in der Erzählerperspektive zu haben.
