I needed to play with different settings of playback speed in order to be able to tolerate the slow talk and pronunciation by Grant. I first didn't know what to do about the challenging slow pronunciation and unusual slow manner of speaking. I soon settled on 5% increased speed, only to set it to 7% faster speed soon after. By the 30minute mark I was more or less confident that 10% faster Playback speed would suffice.
It did. But please consider hearing yourselves before unloading to audible. Anything slower than 1.1 times the original playback speed was unbearable for longer periods.
The story was better than expected. Thanks.
However I will stick to R.C. Bray from now on. It saves me a lot of spent energy which I usually set out to replenish by listening to an audiobook like this.
