The voice actor is really not selling the characters, his pronounciation of all the names is completely different from the other performances and thus sounds wrong after listening to the others first (which were all pretty consistent, despite different voice actors, so I'm guessing this one is wrong) and the story is really bad.
Rory is a completely changed character, acting irrational and without thought, and the plot is not at all helped by the female protagonist Allisan acting like a braindead baboon, not thinking about consequences at all, running straight into unnecessary danger simply to advance the plot and also being generally unlikable (to me, at least).
I've read or listened to all the other books in the series, but this one is the worst by far. I should have stopped at the previous issue, then I would have kept the series in my memory more fondly. This book just ruined and butchered my favourite brother Rory.
