Seventeen-year-old Hannah wants to spend her senior year of high school going to football games and Mardi Gras parties. It captured me immediately. I have since read many more lesbian novels, But none of them are as beautiful as this one. The depth and realism of the characters presented in this book are unlike anything I have read since.

It is a very plain story. Nothing really unexpected happens - which doesn't have to be bad, when the story is very heartfelt or funny.
And I was very sad listening to this story. I felt so bad for Hannah and Baker. I learnt I really prefer funny over heartfelt.
It should also be noted that there are lots of possible triggers and hurtful content like: religious homophobia(!!), hate speech, mobbing, violence, rape, also a lot of talking about God and the creation of Adam and Eve? In a very partriarchic way? (this list is not complete, this warnings were the first coming to my mind)
