Great ending for the trilogy

Mav and Theo, both, did not have a great start in life, but their mothers fought for their chance to grow up safely.
Now, as men they are proving their resiliance by allowing love in their lives.
This love gives them the strength to fight for their (chosen) family's safety and happiness.
Tammy and all the others are so worth their efforts. 😉

The story was okay. I wasn't really into the main characters, but it was interesting enough. The book offers a closure to the crime story around the Gold family. For that, and being able to hear more about adorable river otter Tammy, it was worth to listen to it. Greg Boudreaux has done a great job, as well as in the first two books.

I think I would have like this title if it would have given the main characters a chance at getting to know each other first instead of jumping from their first kiss to a constant "and now we couldn't stop fucking" narration. If there was more plot and at least 50% less sex, maybe this would have been exciting. (I'm fine with sex scenes in general, but it was so dominating that it was boring.) The last hour or so was halfway interesting, as the story finally headed towards who the Dove was and there was some action. But it was badly spaced throughout the story and there was too not enough clues to follow the threat for the animal shelter. Also, I would have loved about 100% less baby in there. Seriously, the reader/listener gets the MC's first date, them knowing each other for a few weeks and then bam, have a baby, too. What for?
