The story is really good. The MCs are reliable and I liked them both. The author has done a great job of depicting dealing with new feelings, unfamiliar attraction, traditional family settings and wanting to get it all worked out. I'm sure I would habe loved the story of I had read the book instead of listening tonit on audible.
Because who the heck chose this narrator? He does a pretty good job with the male voices, but all the female ones are horrible! All scratchy, squeaky and more like without of a Helloween Disney movie. I tried really hard to click with Christie, Carry and Bryce's mother, because the girls are are good people and very supportive, and Bryce's mom isn't that bad either. But the voices were so horrible that I couldn't help myself but imagining scary old witches.
Maybe that's the reason this book was included in the subscription at the time (I don't know if it atill is)?
I recommend either reading the book or download the free sample first

A great story, never in their wildest dreams did they ever think how life could turn out for them. Fantastic.
I have to admit, the narrator gets all the credit for me listening to this one. Apart from it being a great story, that is. It’s Sean Crisdan after all.

it might not be the best book ever, but I loved this one. it has a permanent place in my library because every once in a while I go back and reread it. the main characters and their journey is so sweet and endearing and light despite the (not so over the top) Drama. the deducted Star is for the families of the MCs. they made me so angry. they were impossible. I dont like the narrator's female voice but I like his male voices and he makes you believe two different persons are talking.

Nik und Bryce entdecken gemeinsam ihre erste große Liebe und keiner von beiden hatte erwartet diese im jeweils anderen zu finden.

Die Idee der Geschichte finde ich richtig gut und finde auch, dass diese gut umgesetzt ist von der Entwicklung her. Allerdings ist der Schreibstil etwas holprig.
Die Stimmenintrpretationen des Sprecher fand ich auch nicht ganz so gelungen.

Die beiden Protas finde ich richtig gut. Man bekommt ein richtig tolles Bild im Laufe der Geschichte.

The story itself was ok but I couldn’t follow for the half of a story because there was no meaningful pause between character descriptions and narratives. So you could easily mix who is doing what.
