Über diesen Titel

New York Times best-selling author P. C. Cast's Goddess Summoning series continues as a modern woman attempts to tame a wild beast with the power of love.

Empousai family roses have bloomed for centuries, thanks to the drops of blood their women sacrifice for their gardens. But Mikki would rather forget this family quirk and lead a normal life. Until she unwittingly performs a ritual, ending up in the strangely familiar Realm of the Rose. As its goddess Hecate reveals, Mikki is a priestess - and the Realm's been waiting for her.

Long ago, an enraged Hecate cursed her guardian beast and the entire Realm with a slumber only a priestess can undo - and she's counting on Mikki to set things right. The beast at first terrifies Mikki, but soon intrigues her more than any man ever has. Now, the only way he and the Realm can be saved is for Mikki to sacrifice her life-giving blood - and herself.

Das Hörbuch ist wundervoll, die Geschichte, der Sprecher, volle Punktzahl. Ich liebe es. Bestes Buch, dass ich je gehört habe.

Phänomenal

After enjoying goddess of spring and goddess of Troy a lot, I wanted to read another book of the goddess summoning series and chose goddess of the rose. Now, while I do really like the idea of the book and how it portrays the story, I kind of disagree with the overall tone of the book. Picturing men in general as disappointments and putting the one that is different from all the rest on a pedestal. I believe in feminism but I don't think the idea of feminism is to drag men through the mud. I don't know maybe I am just sensitive on the topic, but it's a pattern that kind of trails through her books. Besides that, I did quite enjoy the story and the wisdoms in it.

Not the strongest one of the series
