I already loved reading the book some years ago. It is such a beautiful love story. Totally worth listening to.

Cornell and Reese

I like the author overall, but this was one of my first Daddy-Boy books and the first I thoroughly enjoyed.

I love Nora's understand of the kink community. I love the variety of healthy male friendships and mentorships.

In the beginning, the Dom does a few things I didn't approve of. But this behavior gets flagged as wrong from his surroundings, they talk about it, he changes these behaviors, works on building trust and then respects the subs boundaries and decisions in a way I do approve and like.

Grief is a big part of their emotional journey and it's not romanticized or pretty but not overly depressing either.
I just listened to it for the second or third time and still ended the book with a tear on my cheek.

And while both don't have any money issues and are well off, it's not another billionaire story. the relationship lives from the emotional bond they create by communicating, failing together, growing together, grieving together and trying to find the best things for both of them and their needs.

There is some nice spice that is not the center of the story but still hot and relevant for the character development and their story. It doesn't feel like a performance that the reader gets their fix but it feels very organic between them.

Cute, sad, honest... a book I returned to if I want to feel warm, close and a little spice.

I did like the speaker's voice and intonation- but the pauses between every change of tone creeped me out, once because they're too long, second they are accompanied by a noise... I couldn't finish the story for this reason...
