Graham Hancock is not only an extraordinary Author. He is also a narrator I absolutely enjoy listening to.

Well written and well read

Story
This book 1) presents well researched facts about old civilization and unsolved mysteries a lot of scientists seem to ignore. It is a must listen/read for anyone interested in history, archeology or myths, legends and lore because it presents a theory well worth thinking about. Furthermore Graham Hancock draws connections between cultures often overlooked.
2) The author also puts in parts about how he came about his research, how he visited places of interest and the like. On one hand this brings additional flavor and lightens up the sometime heavy science part. On the other hands it does not always add value but is a little bit too much self presentation - at least for my taste.
Narrator
I love it when the author themself narrates their book. It just give it the extra special. And over all Graham Hancock does a great job. Just from time to time the narrations gets a little dull and it gets harder to listen along. To be fair - this probably is partly due to me not being a native speaker and from sometimes wandering with my mind.

All in all I love this book and will definitely re-listen to it more than once!

Gut recherchierte alternative Geschichtsschreibung zu möglichen früheren Hochkulturen. Unser Wissen von heute spiegelt ja nur den aktuellen Stand wider, der sich bestimmt ändern wird. Primär geht es darum, wer, warum und vor allem wann die Pyramiden erbaut hat.

Durch die klare Erzählstruktur und die sich wiederholenden Hinweise konnte ich den Ausführungen gut folgen, auch wenn Englisch nicht meine Muttersprache ist.

This book lets you recapture the curiosity of a child. Is Graham’s hypothesis correct? I have no idea. But I do know that Graham is exactly the kind of person we need more of—questioning dogma and orthodoxy, pushing the envelope, and inspiring the imagination. It’s the only way to make meaningful scientific progress (Copernicus, Galileo, Newton, Darwin, Einstein). And he does point out much (literally and figuratively) buried evidence that calls the mainstream narrative into question. Questions are always the first step to exploration, discovery, and, hopefully, eventual knowledge and understanding. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

The clear, accentuated and detailed narration of Graham Hancock fits his writing perfectly. Although controversial in some points, "Fingerprints of the Gods" leads the way to a broader, new perspective on both the history and future of mankind. it provides a much needed widening of the recipients scope of our planet's nature and our role in it, as well as an overview on religious and cultural phenomena with surprising implications. More a source of inspiration for further research than an encyclopedic reference on the latest scientific data, this book is still serving the purpose of encouraging people to think and to look into the long-term developments that really matter.

Graham Hancock hat das Buch sehr interessant und gut verständlich geschrieben und auch gut vorgelesen. Es war teilweise kompliziert genug, dass ich etwas abgedriftet bin und eine Minute oder so zurückspulen musste, aber danach ging‘s gut :)
