The long anticipated book by the author of 'Traitor King' leaves much to the Imagination. He seems to be somewhat following the characterization of A and S as they were his previous royal subjects.
The book feels like a chronologycal collection of the Media coverage on these extremely greedy people. One being a sloppy fool born as a prince, and 'Fergie' (also dubbed as the 'Duchess of Pork'), who is so tasteless in every way, even constantly trying to Cash in on vulnerable children through many charities.
Only 10% of the approached 3000 people corresponded on this book and the writer himself admitted in an interview that he is still researching his 'royaltie's. So, technically the book is still 'unfinished'?
And there's the repeatedly mentioned few names in the Epstein-Saga, nothing really groundbreaking or new, it just feels overtly used.
I wonder if Mr. Lownie was not too Quick to the race this time?

Der Autor liest das Buch selbst. Das ist schade, weil er oft undeutlich spricht und das dem Verständnis nicht hilft. Ein Profi hätte zudem der Geschichte viel mehr Leben einhauchen können. Ich habe viel über die (ehemaligen) Yorks erfahren, aber die Unmengen an Zahlen, die vorgelesen werden sind in der Hörbuchversion schlecht fassbar und tendenziell eher langweilig. Die Begeisterung hält sich insgesamt in Grenzen.

The book is narrated by the author, who is obviously not a professional. Although I find the story interesting, the flat and monotone narration makes it boring, lots of words are mumbled.

I don't recommend this audiobook, hardcover is probably much better read.
