What an amazing ride! Brilliant narration and a captivating story, I absolutely loved it! I've read and enjoyed other books by the author, so I knew that it would be well-plotted and with lots of angst and emotions that would keep me glued to my phone but the intense narration was the cherry on the top.

Morgan and Arrow literally hit it off the first time they met. Being captivated and tormented for over a year, Morgan's only holding by a thread and protecting the little girl she's captivated with. Arrow and his team are on a mission rescueing said girl and of course take Morgan with them. Re-adjusting to real life is a hard ship for Morgan and so she's happy to stay with Arrow for the time being. But when her captor shows it's face all bets are off and Arrow and Morgan depend on the team to save them... That is one hell of a book and I did not expect anything else by Susan. Her books are a sure bet to get some action. Perfect story - once again narrated absolutely perfect.

Also das muss ich wirklich mal sagen, ich habe schon viel Unterhaltungsliteratur gelesen und gehört, aber diese Serie ist so ziemlich das Unraffinierteste, was mir untergekommen ist. Ich habe Band 4, dann 1,2,3 gehört und bin baff, wie unverfroren gleichförmig die Autorin vorgeht. Man darf es ja nicht so ernst nehmen, wenn man Bücher dieser Art liest, aber es muss doch wohl nicht so platt ablaufen. Jedes Buch findet einer der Rettertruppe seine Frau und rettet sie zweimal. Keine Verwicklungen, keine Eifersucht, kaum ein Zweifel, denn natürlich ist es im Nu gegenseitige, tiefe (einmalig starke!) Liebe. Und alle anderen Beteiligten haben sich auch lieb. - außer sie gehören zu den Bösen (Ausnahme war Morgans Vater vielleicht). Yeah. Spannend war's auch eher auf Sparflamme für meinen Geschmack. Ich hab jetzt genug, die restlichen Retter heiraten ohne mich.
Einigermaßen unterhaltsam wars, eher schlüssig und konsequent, die Leute waren anständig und nicht irgendwie eklig (außer manchmal in Band 1), aber das wars dann auch schon. (Es gibt ja auch genügrnd Bücher, da ist dies auch nicht selbstverständlich).
