Another amazing story by susan. The plot is literally as it is in almost every book by the author but every time it's exciting and suspensful to get to the bottom of the story and read about the hero/heroine overcome their insecurities with themselves an go for it.
I think Stella Bloom did a very good job narrating this book - even Row’s accent. Great.

Interesting storyline. However, quite more brutal parts compared to other stories of Stoker I heard

Also mir war das zuviel Ekliges. Abgeschnittene Finger, fieser Täter mit perversen Gelüsten, die unangenehm veränderte Stimme von Rex usw.. Und bei allem Unterstützungswillen für Frauen, den die Rettungsaktionen zeigen lassen, es ist doch nicht unbedingt ein schönes Frauenbild, das rüberkommt. Dieses ganze Besitzenwollen der Frau durch den 'Guten' hat auch einen eigenartigen und archaischen Touch. Vermutlich ist das angestrebt und gilt als Qualitätsmerkmal. Für mich wäre weniger hier mehr. Ich glaube, ich wäre mit den Leuten im Buch nicht befreundet. Sie kommen mir merkwürdig vor. Aber es unterhält ganz gut soweit.
