I had thought Cassie's story was good but it held nothing to this book.
it gives a 90° turnover in Breeds and their history.
But a big warning from my side, it left an opening for more different but very interresting twists on the Breeds.

Wow. Someone else should say that “old” people are boring. Dane made it really exciting.
This book is refreshingly different than the other Breed books. More complex and more focused on the genetic breed side.

Katy plays a unique role here. Her life story is heartbreaking. Even Graeme can't escape it. His affection, concern, and compassion lead to unconditional support that ultimately brings Dane and Katy closer to their HEA. You can't help but love him.
And Dane... is characterized by his family's secretiveness. He is also so used to suppressing his animal side that he almost loses the most important person in his life. His mate.

Lora Leigh really outdid herself here. The difference between man and breed could hardly be made clearer. Breeds are different. Their animal side determines their nature, their actions and feelings. I really liked that in this book.

One of her best Breed books.
