I have devoured almost all Cussler books and quite liked them. This one, however, did not meet my expectations. Too many impossible assaults after stupid decisions (like Dirk Pitt and Summer leaving their mobile phones in the rental car. Summer even her purse. but Dirk handily having his wallet with him for easy identification or Pitt and Giordino following their captors like lambs, giving them any information they required without hesitation, etc. ).
Then Scott Brick, normally my favourite reader, kept pronouncing French words wrongly and with a terrible accent. Also, he should not try to speak English with a French accent - it sounds so totally wrong.
Quite a deception.
