If you love well written characters, deep dialogue and just hooking scenes that make your mouth agape then this is perfection.
Oh and with deep I mean holy shit it's so important that you pay attention and put yourself into the places of these characters.
You as a listener are forced to think between the lines. One might be annoyed by all the rules this school gives out for every exam, but because these rules set a lot boundaries and are overexplained you know them and you start to think... How would I entrap the opposing class, how would I act and at the end you are baffled by the actual outcome.
Spoiler Alert!
I loved that you can see the characters grow, not in an unnatural way but slowly and surely.
The antagonist Ryuen absolutely crushed it. His reasoning wasn't in any way an asspull or many. Seeing him deduce different things was incredible.
Also the varying strategies the classes use makes the whole dynamic so amazing. With Class B being a Foretress with their Queen being Ichinose, to Class A working as two differing factions, to Class C being a dictatorship by Ryuen.
The whole plot twist at the end made me bust a few nuts, but only a few, because I thought I knew how shit was going on but no.
There was so much shit happening in the back and I can't... It was amazing and so far the best written volume, let's see how the next one's will be.
Zion Jang, I hope I got the name right, your voice is amazing and an absolute symphony to listen to.
The story was amazing.
I am happy to be alive. Maybe I am glazing it to hard, and I probably am, but hey, it is really great and I wouldn't be about (7 volumes * ~8 hours) 56 hours into an audio book if it weren't the absolute cream of the crop.
