No clue what took me so long to discover SE Jake's series „Hell and High Water“, but now that I have read/heard the first book „Catch a Ghost“ I have completely fallen in love with Prophet and Tommy. SE Jakes has created a pair of strong, haunted and deeply wounded men who rival Ty&Zane from my all time favourite „Cut and Run“ series. Nevertheless Prophet & Tommy are unique as persons with a hell of a lot of secrets, uncountable inner and visable injuries and strong, furious fighting personalities.Hat dieses Hörbuch Sie emotional stark bewegt? Mussten Sie laut z.B. lachen, weinen, zweifeln, etc.?
The narrator Adam North does an absolutely brilliant job to portray this complex pair. During the narration his voice range changes easily between Proph's more silent lethal worrior personality and Tommy's deeper, drawling speach pattern. The story is a mix between spy thriller,action & crime .Once starting the Audio Book you'll have a hard time pressing the „stop button“.Was wäre für andere Hörer sonst noch hilfreich zu wissen, um das Hörbuch richtig einschätzen zu können?
Listening to Mr. North is like real action movie watching in you head! What a great series start. Now I have to listen to Audio Book 2 and find out how their story will continue!Be warned! High series-addiction possible!
