A lovely story, a typical Nora Roberts book, and therefore quite predictable, but her fans love that about her books - as do I. Sometimes you need such books, an instant mood lifter, a feel good book. This is part one in the Bride Quartet, and parts II to IV features her friends and co-workers Emma, Laurel and Parker.
You get a good feeling for Macs love of photography and her friends, her one true family.
And Macs prickly jet vulnerable character is wonderful read by Emily Durante and she gives everyone a slightly distinctive voice, without being exaggerated or comical.

Mehr als die Überschrift ist eigentlich nicht zu sagen.
Die Sprecherin spricht die verschiedenen Personen nicht sehr unterschiedlich, das macht es einigermaßen schwer, sofort zu hören, wer spricht.
Ich hatte diese Geschichte im Urlaub aus der Bücherei ausgeliehen und deshalb erst die anderen Teile des Bride Quartet gehört. Die sind viel besser gesprochen.

.... ohne größere Probleme oder Intrigen. Romantische Liebesgeschichte vor dem Hintergrund einer Freundschaft zwischen vier sehr unterschiedlichen Frauen, die, jede in ihrem gewählten Beruf, ihren "Mann" stehen. Genau das Richtige Hörbuch um sich mal aus dem Alltag in eine Welt versetzen zu lassen in der die Frauen tüchtig, stark und wunderschön, die Männer gutaussehend, einfühlsam und geduldig sind.

Eine Dosis rosa Wölkchen, Herzchen und Zuckerguss kann sich "Frau" zwischendurch ja schkließlich mal gönnen..

Emily Durante sorgt mit ihrer frischen, frechen Stimme und ihrem Gespür für die einzelnen Personen und Situationen für ein ganz besoderes Hörvergnügen.
