Fortunately not one of those superfluous „how to make it in the art market“ guidebooks! Rather a very accurate description of what it means to „be“ an artist. And what you should really focus on if You want to find Your own place in the art world. Internalizing this, success will come naturally!

As someone that wants to get into drawing I found this quite helpful in managing my expectations and shaping my view of what it means to create art. Whether or not it actually aids me in becoming a better artist is yet to be determined, at the very least I have been temporarily given a boost to my motivation to draw.

The Audio Book is talking about how fear arises in the Artist and how every Artist struggles with it, expressing some interesting Ideas. Arthur Moreys Voice is clear and pleasant to listen to. However a huge chunk of the Audio book is spend discussing what Art is and what it isn't, which I find quite pretentious. Still an interesting listen though.
