Rick Rubin did a great job writing and narrating his book, truly a piece of art itself. While he's mainly talking about the creative process involved when producing music, the takeaways really are guidelines to life, a way of being.

I'd recommend this book to everyone.

Often times I found myself taking out my iPhone to write down notes of the many epiphanies that Rubin's words caused within me. I'm grateful.

This is an inspiring audiobook for every artist. Insightful, kind, supportive and understanding of the complexities of creating art and how artists need thrive. The only weird part is when he talks about Diane Warren’s room, which she never cleans, that he doesn’t mention this wonderful artist by name. Other than that: highly recommended.

I think every artist and creative person should be open to read this book. It felt so accurate. It spoke with so much truth and so much love for what art and the experience as an artist through the process of creation is. I simply loved it. It was refreshing, a tool to acknowledge every part that conforms an artistic life, and purpose. really beautifully written and read. His voice is so soothing, and clear. An extremely therapeutic, and confronting loving book. Highly recommended
