Über diesen Titel

Do aliens believe in love at first bite?

Paz is tired of being the only single human on the planet. Ready for an alien mate of his own, he secretly ventures from the village to find the Maeleons who left on a "quest", only to discover that word has a very different connotation on Eukaria.

When Paz is caught in a hunting trap and confronted by an aggressive Maeleon, he’s forced to put his diplomacy skills to the ultimate test—before the hottest alien he’s ever seen eats him alive.

Kur’tok is a pariah among his people. His harsh behavior is unacceptable to his brethren, and Kur’tok doesn’t care to fix it. Resentful of the village, he roams the Eukaria wilds, vowing to selfishly indulge his every craving. Nothing—and nobody—will ever change that.

Not even the captive flesh-bag who makes his heart feel disgustingly fuzzy.

Aliens Snared My Heart is a sweet, spicy romp in an alien world. It features a pregnancy between a cis man and an alien. Fluff, high-heat scenes, and HEA included!

So, to begin with, I don't think anyone expected great worldbuilding in a series called "Awakened Womb" (what a title, seriously made me hesitant to buy the first part). And you don't get that in the first two parts - there's literally just the bare minimum and then there's sex and really sweet considerate mates. It's really nice when you want something to listen to without having to concentrate or fret for a character's life. I liked the two first parts for what they were.

Then there's this part. I understand the thoughts behind it, I get the concept, I just really don't like how it was written. What you get here is, at its core, kidnapping and sexual assault. The story tries to sell it to you as "It's okay because they're mates", but at the time most of the things happen, even though Paz keeps repeating that he's horny for the alien and not scared, what they do is decidedly NOT consentual. Paz doesn't have the chance or right to say no at any time. I don't think their relationship is sweet, either, and I'm really not happy they have a baby together. I know Kur'tok has this whole tragic backstory and is supposed to have this redemption arc, but the way this story goes really gives me a bad feeling. At the beginning, Paz is afraid for his life and trying to appease his kidnapper, who is constantly threatening to eat him. That Paz is simultanously horny for him gives the whole thing a really weird vibe and I don't like it.

It might be exactly your thing, and if so, great, go for it, this is the story for you. For me personally, it really didn't fit with the vibe of the first two stories.

The only reason I continued listening to the end is the other thing you get in this book, and that is world building. This part has more backstory and worldbuilding than the first two combined. Mind you, there is still no answer to most basic questions (does none of the humans have any friends/family back on earth? Do none of the mealeons have close friends and/or family, like parents, with actual names? What do all the maeleons do all day to get their needed substanance etc.? Does no one except the doctor have a job?), but there is a littly very intriguing backstory that answers a few questions that arose in the first book.
For all that all the maeleons call each other "sibling", not one of them seems to have any close friends they talk to throughout the whole series. Nor do they have parents, and the subject is never touched upon, which is weird since this is an Mpreg series and the whole concept is that they start families. How families work on this alien planet is never even so much as thought about.

To conclude:
Backstory: Great! Though still very litte.
Romance: Really unhealthy. Do not recommend.
