Über diesen Titel

Sarah J. Maas's sexy, richly imagined audio experience continues with the journey of Feyre's fiery sister, Nesta.

Nesta Archeron has always been prickly—proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can't seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.

The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre's Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta's orbit. But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.

Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.

Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance—and healing—in each other's arms.

Performed by Colleen Delany, Natalie Van Sistine, Jon Vertullo, Aure Nash, Anthony Palmini, Melody Muze, Renee Dorian, Shawn K. Jain, Nora Achrati, Matthew Bassett, Amanda Forstrom, Karenna Foley, Jeri Marshall, Jenna Sharpe, Ryan Haugen, Gabriel Michael, David Jourdan, Julie-Ann Elliott, Rob McFadyen, Rayner Gabriel, Carolyn Kashner, Christopher Graybill, Nhea Durousseau, Ryan Carlo Dalusung, Mike Carnes, and Holly Adams.

This audiobook covers part 1, chapters 1-36 of the book. I really didn‘t like the first 150 pages, Nesta has to be one of the most annoying characters out there. Even though that gets somewhat better around page 270, and the story with the Kelpie in the bog was cool, I still hate her and don‘t get her reasoning behind treating her family badly. Cassian deserves better! And I am missing some other people like Mor, and Lucian as well as the other courts.

Nesta is getting on my nerves

I already read the book and loved it but wanted to hear the dramatized adaptation too and I just want to say the cast did an amazing job. Especially the voice of Cassian!

ACOSF has been my favorite from the very first time I read the series, for so many reasons! Nesta is my favorite character because, despite her bad attitude in books 1–3, I could truly connect with her story and feelings in ACOSF. Her growth and healing are amazing and so inspiring. Sarah J. Maas does an incredible job of capturing the many layers of trauma and depression.

As the oldest sister, Nesta remembers much more than the others and was raised by a dysfunctional mother who taught her very different values. Then she loses everything and watches her father do nothing to help them. She believes she has no worth because her mother taught her that her value was tied to money and desire — so when she loses those, she’s completely lost. After the war, when she loses her father and nearly loses the man she loves, when she becomes something she never wanted to be and watches her sister go through the same thing, she just can’t cope. Her self-loathing becomes part of her trauma, and while everyone thinks she’s a horrible person, the truth is she despises herself even more.

Then Sarah gifts us with this beautiful portrayal of healing from trauma and deep depression — showing how it takes time, breathing, exercise, healthy food, friendships, and feeling like you’re doing something meaningful for the greater good. And Cassian is AMAZING — not just because he’s perfect and hot (haha), but because Sarah shows exactly the kind of support a traumatized and depressed person needs. This is very different from Feyre (whom I also love, but can’t relate to as much), because Feyre has always acted for the greater good and was loved from the beginning.

ACOSF is a true masterpiece.

I also have to mention the dramatized audio version — the voice actors did such an incredible job bringing the characters and their emotions to life. They made every scene even more powerful and emotional, and listening to them added a whole new depth to the story. I loved every minute of it!
