Jean Muenchrath's childhood in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado gave her an insatiable appetite for mountain adventures. She loves to explore wild places under the power of her own two feet, and to feel the connection between her heart and soul and the natural world. Traveling throughout Asia broadened Jean's perspective about herself, humanity and the planet we share. Before she became an author, she was a park ranger with the National Park Service for over three decades. She has also led trekking tours in Nepal and Thailand and worked in Bhutan with the World Wildlife Fund. To balance her outer and inner worlds, she spend two months a year in solitary retreat. Muenchrath is donating 100% of the profits from her book to charity.
