But when she meets the gorgeous Cameron MacCabe, a new bartender at work,
Jo can't deny the instant and undeniable attraction she feels. Cam doesn't fit into her strict specifications of her perfect partner at all - but for once she is tempted to let her heart rule her head.

And as their intense connection grows, Jo has to stop hiding the truth about herself and her family. Is Cam prepared to accept Jo for who she really is? And is Jo willing to let someone into her life for keeps?

Kritikerstimmen

Scotland's answer to E.L. James
This extraordinary debut combines a true gift for storytelling with a liberal dose of racy encounters. But what really sets it apart is exquisite characterisation, so vivid that the cast seeps into the reader's psyche

This is the second book in this series.
I love Jo, she is such a sweetheart once you get to know her. We meet her in the previous book as one of Joss‘ bartending colleagues. Jo tends to date older men with money, she feels they are the more secure choice as she has to look after and take care of her brother and mother. She meets Cam, a young unemployed tattooed graphic designer - and not at all her usual type - sparks fly.

The story is written in the distinct style of the other books of the same author, so listening to it is a bit like coming home. Despite several decisions of the main character, which can only be described as irrational and obviously wrong, the conclusion is nice, but not perfect.
But ins't love in the end all about irrationality? That has to be found out by everyone on his or her own. Not the strongest part of the series, but still very good.

About the Narrator: The scottish accent is hard to understand sometimes, especially for non native Speakers listening to the book while driving, but it fits the story, the setting and the characters perfectly.

A Story one can relate to
