Shadow of the Dragons

A dark ritual heralds the dragons' return. The world trembles.To save his dying mother, a young man named Euddan enters a cursed forest where monsters of darkness prowl. Alone in the shadowy woods, he finds a mysterious creature made of light. She may be his salvation...and the only way to save his mother.

Euddan and Vounee have fled their homes, hunted by a deadly wizardess and her pack of enchanted hounds. Every time the youths think they have escaped, Tshar Ruan appears. She will not stop until she releases the shadow of the dragon that dwells in Vounee's soul. To have any chance to escape, they must trust new allies. Far from home, who can they turn to for the help they need? The situation turns grim when an even deadlier foe joins the hunt.

Tshar Ruan believed that any act could be justified to free the souls of the dead dragons and expunge the false gods. But the hunt has weakened her resolve. The truth becomes a harsh mistress when you find yourself forced to sacrifice the innocent. As the hunt continues for Euddan and Vounee, Ruan finds herself in the company of the dread dragon, Lady Shadow. Joined by lizard men wielding magical weapons, she plunges into the Hordelands. Will she hold true to her purpose, or will the guilt destroy her?

Euddán and Vounée are joined by a hunter who has betrayed the Apostasy, unable to stomach their methods. She wants to find a new way to save the dragons, but not everyone trusts her. Dhaua and Thaaph remember all too well how Ruan fought with the Apostasy and conquered their home. Yet, their former enemy might be their only chance to reach their destination safely. Guided by Vounée's vision, they need to reach the vast desert known simply as the Sands.

Regrets festered in the underground city! Euddan, Vounee, and their friends need to get to Otfaveew, a city of wyrms, one of the races in their world. They need the help of a translator to decipher the scroll they found in the Sands. But they still have to get out of the desert. And resources are low. Worry if they can even live to escape the desert weighs down on Euddan's shoulders. Their only hope is Ree. An enigmatic drakeman who dwells in the desert and claims they will die without his help. But can he be trusted.

Blood flows in the shadow of the dark dragoness! Euddán, Vounée, and their friends think they have a breather. They've defeated their pursuers. The Apostasy have lost their trail. They have a goal, a plan to restore Lumi to her full glory. And Zai is having dreams. Lady Shadow, killed by Euddán months ago, is on their trail. Now in the flesh, the Dragoness of Negation is rotting and pillaging all she finds. She's leaving devastated cities in her wake as she hunts down the man she hates. Euddán. But how can Lady Shadow live again? Are Zai's dreams prophetic or born out of her fears?

The city of Kenl Ruet reels from Lady Shadow's attack, and Duke Phaos will hunt down those responsible. Only problem, he believes Vounée, Euddán, and their friends are in cahoots with the return of the dragon. Fleeing by ship, Euddán and Vounée need to continue their quest. They have to save another dragon egg from an underwater volcano. This will be a deadly and dangerous task for Vounée as she risks everything to free another dragon. Duke Phaos, armed with deadly priests and a dark warlock, sail after. He won't let anything stand in the way of bringing Euddán and his friends to justice.
