Mountain Men of Whiskey River

Who leaves their girlfriend in the woods after a fight? My now ex-boyfriend, that’s who. One fight—okay, a big fight—because I found out he was cheating on me while we were camping, and poof! He left me in the woods. So, I start walking to town, only I end up at the river, where I meet Axel. This guy is huge. With a storm rolling in, I don’t have much choice but to trust him and take shelter in his cabin, since I’ve been walking for hours away from town. Several days of rain wash out the road and it looks like I’m stuck here with my giant.

I’m a big city girl hiding out in the tiny town of Whiskey River. I’m a runaway bride, hiding from my ex and my family. The shy, virgin mountain man who sells handmade wooden furniture in town doesn’t seem like he would try to control me the way my family did. He’s strange and beautiful.

I didn’t think they would find me here. I moved to the small town of Whiskey River three months ago, hoping I would finally be safe from my past. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I can breathe easier. Then I meet the mountain man who makes my breath quicken. And my heart race.

Go in and save my friend's girl. That was the mission. I never expected her, the girl who wasn’t supposed to be there. She’s injured…and mine. So, I take her back to my cabin to care for her. Only she wasn’t supposed to want to leave…. I have no problem holding her against her will until that first tear falls.

She’s a tiny slip of a thing that I can lift one-handed, but my new bride is a spitfire too. From the moment I saw her, I knew I would do anything to protect her. Our marriage has been consummated in body, but I intend to have her heart and soul too. And that means that my sweet bride has to tell me everything. Even her darkest secrets.

I need a safe place to get away for a few days. My college roommate's family cabin in the middle of nowhere Montana is perfect. Maybe I should have called to ask permission first, then I would have found out the cabin had been sold... to Jack. I go to leave planning to spend the night in my car... only my car won't start. Jack may take pity on me and offer to let me stay a few nights until my car is fixed, but he doesn't know I have no place to go from there.

I thought the hardest thing I’d ever have to do was bury my husband, my best friend, and the father of the child growing inside me. Little did I know my husband asked his friend Storm to watch over me should anything happen. Now that the worst has happened, or so I thought, Storm has me move in with him. A cabin in the Montana woods seems like a great place to hide for the battle ahead of us. Plus, now the pesky pregnancy hormones have me feeling the kinds of things I shouldn't be for Storm. I bet that poor man can’t wait to get rid of me…
