Real Family traces the biblical story of family from its origin in the Trinity to its fulfillment at the marriage supper of the Lamb—and dismantles every lie the church has baptized along the way. Through the dysfunction of Abraham's household, the chosen loyalty of Ruth, the wreckage of David's home, and the Christ who redefined family with four words—"whoever does my will"—J.C. Wright shows that God's family has never been about bloodlines, photo ops, or having it together.

You know grace saved you. But do you actually believe it? Most of us live somewhere between two ditches. On one side, grace has been softened into a permission slip — a cosmic shrug that says God doesn't really care what you do. On the other side, grace has been hardened into a reward — something you earn by reading enough, praying enough, and performing well enough to keep God from being disappointed in you. Both versions are lies. And both will leave you exhausted or empty.

You've been told to "just have faith." But has anyone told you what faith actually is? Most of us carry a version of faith that was handed to us secondhand—believe hard enough and God will come through, never doubt or you're failing, close your eyes and jump. It sounds spiritual. But it's not biblical. And it falls apart the moment life gets heavy. Real Faith strips away the greeting-card theology and replaces it with what Scripture actually teaches: faith is not a feeling, not a quantity, and not blind.
