This mostly dark, disturbing, and bite-sized collection of 10 short stories is as much inspired by true crime events as it is a love letter to midnight monster movies. It is, at times, post-apocalyptic and violent, with glimpses of gore and seemingly hopeless moments of stillness, but it is often uncomfortable.
